Wouldn't change anything else.
There is a significant lack of people with legal qualifications that have even the smallest clue about IT, and those that have are cleaning up for very little effort.

Do not work more than 40 hours a week as a permie. They are not even laughing at you behind your back, they simply don't know you're doing it.
Don't take out credit card payment protection insurance - it's a scam.
Don't take out those endownment mortgages just because EVERYONE else is - it's a scam.
When you leave home, take that bicycle with you.
When an agent says in 1999 "I reckon it's all going to go bad next year. But here's a tip: start reading up on IT security now" listen to him. He'll be right. Alternatively, with your asian friend, set up an overseas software house. You might even earn a few quid bringing Indians into the UK one day.
Buy property in the very South West as soon as you can. They are giving it away. Alternatively, buy a couple of boarded-up streets in any Welsh university town (for student accomodation).
Don't worry too much about bad experiences. They tend to pay back later.
PS: Your entire family has high blood pressure but they won't think to tell you.My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.Comment
