I think Hisplop is highly intelligent and witty. What is there to Clarkson except loud mouthed oafishness? -

Oh dear. So to get on in this world and satisfy the elitist liberals one has to be awfully intelligent does one?Originally posted by snaw View PostI think we have a fundemental difference of opinion here.
For my money Hislop is in a totally different league from Clarkson. For one he's clever, something you could never accuse Clarkson of ...Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment

I wouldn't really know about the elitist liberals. To satisfy intelligent people, it usually helps a great deal to be intelligent oneself. To get on in this world, it is enough to be public-school: intelligence is not required. To paraphrase Christopher Wren, if you want to see a monument to that, look around you.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostOh dear. Nope, just be funny usually does it. Clarkson has never made me laugh, and he strays into politics on a regular basis and mouths off ill thought pish.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostOh dear. Hence the comment about him not being clever, as opposed to Ian Hislop (You commented on) who I said was at least clever.
Anyway, who you calling elitist? Last I checked you were the one who seems to delight in classifying people based on their backgrounds and upbringing. I couldn't give a monkeys where you're from, and can be accused of many things but elitist isn't one of them.
I'd say you're elitist DA, not liberal for sure, but compared to me - you're incredibly elitist and judgemental. To be called elitist by you is like getting called posh by Michael McIntyreHang on - there is actually a place called Cheddar?? - cailin maith

Anyway, I was responding to DA's comment directed at me. Legitimate going on I'd say, and DA brings out the best in me.Hang on - there is actually a place called Cheddar?? - cailin maith
