The problem with Mandelson is:
Gordon Brown wanted him in the cabinet, but couldn't get him elected. So he put him in the Lords instead. That should mean he's accountable to the Lords, not the Commons. But that wasn't enough, so they had to create a special law to let him come and answer questions in the Commons too. Last time that started happening we had to sort it all out with a Civil War.Comment
