Inspired by the survey (sticky: national freelancers day), I'm interested in the panel's view on their favourite UK businessmen/women, and why.

Do they still need to be alive?

1) From what I read Andrew Carnegie was a decent chap.
2)Don't mind Branson, not sure why it is fashionable to hate him as much as many do.

I'm rather impressed by that Tim Martin chappy. Ok, so Wetherspoons aren't to everyone's taste, but he's managed to succeed and expand in a field where the established mob have dive-bombed - look at all the pubs that have closed down.

Having 'Abbot Ale' on tap at £2.25 is good enough to get my vote.
