    Phones 4 U – fuming…..

Did an upgrade to the Blackberry Curve on Saturday in Manchester Arndale.

    So I thought.

The Saturday guy student created a fresh contract not an upgrade.

This meant an hour at my local P4U on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and had to swap my new BB for another new BB due to the IMEI links to the contract types.

The replacement BB is sometimes slow and the alarm does not work well – one ring, then stops, maybe 4 rings then stops.

Tried the battery pull the BB forum suggests, but still got the issue.

P4U says to just come in for a chat which is a good start – BUT! Do I have rights for a brand new replacement, or can they insist that as under contract I have to swap for a repaired used handset?

Frustration is that the phone I had to exchange worked perfectly well!

    Can somebody translate?

I seem to have wandered into the 22nd century again, or some other parallel universe.

Commission for new contracts should be higher than upgrades...

Phones4u... part of the Caudwell Group, so profits and sales before absolutely anything else.

Always simpler to go direct with mobile phones, preferably over t'internet too so you get your distance selling rights as well.

But he is the type to go Postal, 30 years of repressed anger unleashed on a 18 year old mobile phone sales droid.
