I know it's confusing but he was trying to be funny. Germans do have a sense of humour - I have photographic evidence.Originally posted by singhr View PostYou need to check out Udo Lindenberg from a little further back, he had it nailed with "Germans"+50 Xeno Geek Points

Wir fahren fahren fahren auf der autobahnOriginally posted by Chantho View PostAnyone watch this on BBC four a few days ago, I have finally got round to playing it back.
The documentary was quite boring, but the Kraftwerk concert was just about the weirdest thing I've ever seen, here's an excerpt if you missed it :

Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

The problem I had with that documentary was that they played very little good music on it, although "Krautrock" has some genuinely brilliant stuff. A lot of it is on Spotify, including the new Kraftwerk remasters. I like a bit of Holger Czukay myself. Try Dawn Across The Street (I don't know who Dawn is, but I guess that's where she lives). I notice that Neu! have disabled Hallogallo on Spotify though, which I had in a playlist before. Brilliant track.Comment

Just realised that I must have walked past Kling Klang Studios loads of times here in Düsseldorf, but didn't know it was there. Might make a quick pilgrimage there later, like a sad fanboy.Comment
