We now have 3 bins, all made from heavy duty plastic which will take eons to degrade let alone being made from bucketfulls of oil. The latest addition is a slops bucket to contain food waste. The maggots and foxes will have a field day.

Just a thought....
Why don't they tax us less if we recycle more?

I read on some fanatics' website once, www.newscientist.com, IIRC, that paper bags are more environmentally unfriendly than plastic ones, but public perception is t'other way round.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment

Don't you get provided with a large, lockable food waste container in addition to the small slops bucket?Originally posted by singhr View PostThe latest addition is a slops bucket to contain food waste. The maggots and foxes will have a field day.Comment

I think 'slops bucket' was over-egging the pudding. I haven't paid much attention as 'er in doors' does the food waste recycling but we do have a mini-me version of a green wheelie bin outside for stuff to be tipped into. I wonder if 'little people' come and take it away in a tiny truck.Originally posted by TroubleAtMill View PostDon't you get provided with a large, lockable food waste container in addition to the small slops bucket?Comment
