    Matthew 7

21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

Scenario 1 - You do nothing and the guy kills your boss. You are guilty of breaking that commandment. By you inaction a life has been taken.

Scenario 2 - You confront the guy next to you, it turns nasty and in the struggle as you defend yourself he receives a blow and it kills him. You are not guilty of the breaking the commandment as it was not your intention to kill him and you intend was to prevent him from carrying out his murderous intention.

Scenario 3 - You confront him, he has a change of heart he does not kill your boss and everyone is happy. Ideally this would be ending everyone would look for however some people are plain evil, Saddam, Hitler, Pol Pot, Mad Mullahs etc and no amount of diplomacy, hand wringing will change that so do you as a government stand aside while they kill 6 million Jews, 1 million Muslims etc etc
So Chico there are conditions to be applied to the ten commandments then?
Silly me I thought that they were unambiguous and sacrosanct. So tell me in order that I may follow the path of righteousness where in the bible do I find a full unambiguous interpretation of the ten commandments?

Now we have that sorted out what about this adultery business?

SCENARIO 1. I have spotted some totty in the office that I would love to shag but I dont because that would be breaking one of the ten commandments

SCENARIO 2. I am asleep at my desk with my dick out standing fully erect and this bit of totty comes and sits on it without me knowing

SCENARIO 3. She comes up to me one day and declares her undying love for me (and it happens to me all the time), and says unless I shag her there and then she will kill herself.

Now I think 1 is pretty clear and two could get me into a spot of bother with the good lord- as I am not sure the plea of "I forgot to put it away after visiting the loo" would work.
But what about scenario3? what on earth do I do???

      Help

Yes that's lovely Chico but the question I asked was why you choose to disobey the 2nd commandment yourself by odorning your places of worship with images or Mary and Christ? Are you not then a hypocrite when you label the rest of us as 'evildoers'? Just answer the question in your own words.

            Chico,
Refusing to answer the simple questions put to you only reinforces what everyone on this forum knows - you are a thick, stupid twat not worth bothering with
Anyway enough taunting of the mentally disabled - got some meetings to attend which should should prove marginally more intellectually stimulating than trying to discuss serious issues wih a moron.

Every time you or any Christian pays a visit to his local church. Have you not seen the images of Christ and Mary on stained glass windows? I thought you said the 10 Commandments are the 'bare minimum'. Explain this contradiction if you will.

And those pieces of art are worshipped like say buddists worship buddha idols? You have seen this?

Why are you bringing the budhists into this? You are responsible for your actions and they are responsible for theirs.

I ask again: How can Christians, on the one hand, say the 10 Commandments are compulsory and then disobey the second commandment every time they go to Church? Does that not make you an 'evildoer' too?

ALM you have misunderstood the commandment - it refers to making of images and worshipping them. Wearing a cross or having a picture of Jesus on the Church wall is a piece of art and I for one do not worship that - its a piece of wood, metal etc!!!! the buddist example shows exactly what the commandment is referring to. An idol is an object of worship or a false god(dictionary definition).
