Servicemen receive a pretty damn good pension these days don't they? My father was in the forces all his life and retired on a pretty comfortable pension, but says he missed out on the recent big increases. My brother also retired from the army at 40 and received a huge pension (he died in Iraq), but he wasn't what you'd call a regular serviceman.
The black, technical lego axles were great when sharpened with a pocket knife, and served as adequate bolts.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
