    So abhorrent to nature

    Interesting essay in the NYT

So, the Higgs boson is abhorrent and "nature" will do whatever it takes to prevent it from appearing. I was wondering what else has come from the future to steer our lives?

The UK service industry was going to take over the world, something had to stop the financial juggernaut... GB1000
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Of course it was predicted that those travelling by motor car would suffocate.

If we listened to the doomsters we would still be living in caves.

            This is saying:

CERN worked and produced a Higgs Boson, which came back in time and broke CERN before it could produce the Higgs Boson.

            Zeity, over to you...

              Isn't that the grandfather paradox?

Camping is bad enough. I prefer a 5* hotel myself.

Its true. And I have no intention of trying it either. Unless you know of any 5* caves?
