Not a very good analogy there but hey, from you that's to be expected.

Just to explain the difference, Bob is representing the interests of the many. Not slaughtering the many for the interests of a few.

      Is he now?

Seems to me he's representing the interests of the few, who got the rest of us who live here (For a short time, now ) by the balls, and fairly regularily they squeeze when they feel like working less, or want more money for doing SFA.

Nah Churchy, on this he's a greedy tw@t who's used up all reserves of sympathy his union might have had when (Please, someday) the day comes and they all get replaced by machines.

Actually there were about 6m jews killed in the war and the ss represented the German people so in real terms that was slughtering a few for the interests of the many.
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

          I preferred version 1!

I think you'll find that the SS represented the upper echelon of the National Socialist Party and not the German People.

It is a bad if not offensive analogy.

Bob is doing his job representing his unions interests.

              Fixed that for you.

Bob Crowe isn't some "Mother Teresa" to his union members, he's a self serving, vitriol filled buffoon that doesn't know when to accept the good deal his union has been given.

The SS were volunteers (until around 1944). It has to be said that the SS was split into very different branches, the most common of which were designed to rival (and replace in the future) Wehrmacht. The crimes of the other branches of the SS has lead to the whole system (rightly) of the SS deemed criminal.

Why do you insist on bringing emotion in to this? All I have said is that he is doing his job as a representative of the union.

The upper echelons were not exclusively in the SS even though the SS tries to give honourary titles to many of them. The core of the party were out of the SS just like Hitler himself. It was in later years of the war when the SS successfully extended their influence.

Did they represent the German people? Probably as much as the NSDAP itself.

AtW, please read my posts regarding the SS again. It was their job to represent the interests of the upper echelons of the nazis, at no time did I say that the upper echelons were "in the SS".
