      Think not
OK perhaps the albino argument was wrong. I don't know how widespread it is.

What's wrong with generalising a culture? A racist assumes that because someone is black, say, that they MUST behave and think a certain way.
      That is clearly unintelligent.
On the other hand is it racist that the Met has a unit to investigate "black-on-black" gun crime because it is so prevalent?

Or is saying that most Muslims have what I would call primitive attitudes to female emancipation make me a racist? White or black female converts are meant to cover up too as are brown ones. So which race am I being racist to?

We are too soft in this country

Other places don't have these arguments.

In Switzerland the Swiss get first crack at jobs and then EU citizens.

          The US is the same.

It is just economics, we don't want an underclass of people without jobs.

It's the same as inter-company transfer abuse, no other country would turn a blind eye to this.

The tide is definitely turning as the far right make gains. Did you see the Italian minister on panorama?

Westeners have a culture that creates wealth, that provides health and social security infrastructures and that allows for cultural diversity. But we also involve ourselves in empire building, in mechanized wars in foreign lands and have done a pretty good job of negatively impacting on our environment.

Australian Aboriginals (longest unbroken culture on the planet) produce nothing (in our terms) but have not killed in the millions nor have they lived in a manner that is contradictory to their environment.

So which culture has more value SG/King Of The World?
That is a good argument and I take your point.
It may be that Aboriginal culture is superior if we take long term adapation to our environemnt into account.
But therein lies my point - we have made a value judgement by looking at the world in a certain way.
Eventually we have to judge on somne criteria.

It is normal to protect the resources as dictated by the boundaries of our territory. It is normal to judge who we deem worthy to share those resources with.

All I am saying is that we should always do this with compassion.

A North African woman strapping herself and her young children to the bottom of a Eurostar (yes that really happened and it didn't end well) is obviously desperate to improve her life and that of her children. These people should be treated with respect, understanding and (un)common human decency.
Faster, faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death.

Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead.
