I like the Tories new idea but I suspect they'll be back pedalling once they see the inevitable rush of all tax avoiding news readers, IT contractors and builders closing and reopening their ltdcos!! Or maybe there's something in the smallprint I've missed.

It is a retarded idea to give it to "new companies" only - this guy is the weakest link in Tory's leadership, he should get a kick up the arse and make space for a proper chancellor - Vince Cable. -
When in opposition parties can say whatever they want. And often do. Often just for the fun of it.
And this one is really quite funny.
But less likely than a Monster Raving Loony Party manifesto pledge.
(OK Monster Raving Loony Party is one of the few parties whose manifesto pledges have become law, but that's not the point I'm making.)Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

It was stupid idea. The fact that he dropped it (have not heard that) shows that he can recover from stupid idea without getting too far into it.Originally posted by SantaClaus View PostOh yes, good 'ol Vince. The politican who invented the "Mansion Tax" and quietly dropped it 24 hours later.
If Vince Cable was in charge there would have been no credit bubble in this country - or at least it would have been far less dangerous.Comment

I can't decide if Vince is a dangerous socialist, or a visionary."See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested."Comment
