    FFS.
A US Customs official would have. They don't do humour. At all.

Would have served the silly sod right if he'd pulled that caper in the US.

Indeed having walked a little too quickly( a medium walking pace) towards a rather large security guard at Chicago to speed up the line I was tired but not emotional, I was rewarded by the strap on his holster being flipped. I wasn't feeling too jovial after that.

      they don't do humour!

I got a smile out of one once. I think he must have been 'over refreshed' though.

Anyone possibly think that this MP may have been deliberately drugged.

Saying stupid things is one thing. But vommiting continually afterwards is a bit suspicious.

God, that never occurred to me. But now you mention it, I wouldn't put it past Labour.

Gordon Brown is on record in recent weeks using the phrase "whatever it takes".

You are not really being serious, are you?
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Even so, the security staff will have to expend quite a bit of resources to double check. You can't seriously expect them to wave people through after they have admitted holding a bomb etc.

And this detracts them from the real threats.
How many terrorists in the history of terrorism have said they have a bomb/got a gun/etc before they get onto the transport they are planning to attack?
If the answer is "none" then why do check-in staff "have" to put in more effort to check?

The main question that should be asked if the baggage was packed by the person who is flying, ie someone did not ask to bring in a bomb on an airplane. These days it is of lesser importance since main terrorists are willing to die there and then.

The guy who says he's got a bomb may or may not be joking. The probability of joke is very high, but small risk of a bad event is worth minimising.

In some security services it is compulsory to investigate further if person tries to talk to office, or joke etc.

The thought did occur to me too.

I don't think we can blame Brown for this one - according to the article the incident happened over two years ago.

I wonder why it came to light this weekend?
