    So I have decided to go back to my roots, learn a new programming language and recapture some of that sheer fun and enthusiasm of coding I had as a teenager.
    What language should I learn and why?
    I wouldn't mind if it also had some commercial demand, obviously. I have already programmed extensively in SAS, Java, VBA so those don't count.

        It's ++. You can't beat ++. You don't need more reason than ++.

            So your other half is having a baby and you are going back to Uni again and learning a new computer language and buying more BTL's and you are also some hot-shot permie manager.

            Yeah, it all makes total sense.

                I'm not buying BTLs and I'm not going back to uni.

                I thought I'd learn a language rather than listen to your drivel on here.

                  No good reason.
                  How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.
