One of my co-workers on my current contract is one of the very few people I can say I actually hate.
Loud, abrasive, rude, revels in being as "working class" as possible and generally a complete pain in the arse.
Whats reallly annoying though is that everyone else on the project seems to like the f***er.
Given that he is also a contractor, what's the best way of getting him re-aquainted with the bench?
You don't have to like someone to work with them.
Be professional, leave your work at work and enjoy what little time off you have not thinking about work.
I cant say that I would ever think that someone is better off on the bench, maybe in a contract on a different continent, but never on the bench.
I did, I detected that although you attitude to him had softened (mostly his olive branch), there are still some deep rooted issues there that need some work.
When you tell us that you have gone away on a discovery weekend together, only then will I know my work here is done....
