I finally bought some put options. Many thanks to santa claus for the advice.

Went via IG Index (so Hector cant get hands on any profits). Purchased the 3500 DEcember put at 6.4. £30/point.

We will see........

A nice enough article, but it only echoes what we're all thinking. Sadguru et al seem to think that a correction to march levels is the most likely outcome, but I fear it could be much much worse.

Investors would run for the hills at the sight of any such correction, and having been bitten once would recoil still further. As the banks have been healing their balance sheets rather than passing savings on to savers people are still suffering from increased fuel costs and taxation, with low interest rates hampering their saving efforts.

So all in all, the "searing financial pain" that Bilderberg promised us earlier this year is coming to fruition.

For all the wealth that we lose, let someone else be truly thankful*.

Plenty of people were forecasting a West-East wealth shift a decade ago when off shoring etc. began in earnest. Although economists talked about global economics not being a zero sum game, bollucks, etc.

Wellll... actually, you know that one about how if everyone has a Rover, and one guy has a Rolls Royce? The reality is that one guy has a Rolls, a few have Rovers and then an awful lot are living on the food they throw away.
