Problem is if you move at the current bad rate, you have accepted the loss.Originally posted by KentPhilip View PostYour arithmetic skills are fine - its more like 6% isn't it.
And considering the pound was around 1.45 to the Euro last year, its even more.
All that money gone to pay for a swathe of "diversity outreach advisers" or some such nonsense.
I should move it all over to the Euro to stop the rot.

The alternative is to put your pounds into assets which are easily saleable in another currency. Picking the right assets and when to do it is the tricky bit of course. Watch out for import tariffs in the destination country if physical goods are involved (can be 100% in certain countries).Originally posted by alreadypacked View PostProblem is if you move at the current bad rate, you have accepted the loss.

That is indeed a good example. Proper bacon too, although being uncooked meat there would be rules, regs and sell-by dates to follow.Originally posted by MrMark View PostBuy teabags - lot's of them. Drive onto the continent, sell to British expats for Euros. Does anyone know any Brits in Ostend?
