Many people of your ability earn much more than you do. Many people have bigger houses, better cars, better lovers, better jobs. Saying I am happy is just complacency. It's settling for what you have; it's a compromise, and a cop-out. It's second-best.
In a free market capitalist economy, there is no room for happiness. Happiness is lost productivity, missed opportunities, idle thought, and smug conceit.
