When I was doing Mech Eng at uni I had a friend that was doing a bums on seats degree in technology. He just could not understand the concept what the place was there for and refused to believe that the place was a net user for power. I told him that if he was correct then we should just use a couple of barrels in the back garden to produce our domestic power, he thought that was a great idea.
I went on to do computing and now he is a very senior engineering manager. No wonder engineering is fecked in this country.Comment
