What's the alternative? There is literally feck all out there, Jobserve is still barren and I haven't had an agent call me in over a month, I'm SC cleared with 6 years experience.

I went from £28 to £12.50ph just as a stop gap, still waiting...
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Well, I said I would never go below £150 a day - broke that rule (just) with current gig. Looks I might need to re-define the rule for the next one.

That's From other post's you sound like you're in a simliar field to me, SC'd and at a guess from M5 and MOD, you're only just down the hill from my gig. We had to take a 10% hit back in the New Year, but nothing like that. Still not great, espcially with the wife quitting work to look after the littleun for this year.

At that rate you cannot afford holidays, especially not 4 weeks worth

I have a baby too with the exact same scenario so another £30k taken from the family pot.

We're struggling by on about 40% of our previous family income with an extra mouth to feed indeed.

I guess you're in the big HP building then?
