I'm with TLG. I'd buy a nice bike and spend the change on a couple of RTW tickets.

Boats are nice but hard work, I lived on one for a while back in the day - but that was in a mediterranean climate. RC is correct, most just rot away unloved once the novelty has worn off.

I had a go in a Pug 106 Maxi Evo1 the other day, driving round a closed off track in a quarry / industrial estate. That was a whole lot of fun.

Of course you did. Surely you had two, one for each foot?

I'd go for the TVR. If you don't have to depend on it they are great fun (ex TVR owner). Part of the charm is that they do go wrong but a well sorted one will put a smile on your face every time it starts.....when it starts.

My mate's got a boat and it's expensive to run and expensive to moor. I'd also get hacked off with driving it slowly down rivers. We spent all day doing 6 locks on the Thames - great fun but wouldn't want to do that for the rest of my life.
...my quagmire of greed....my cesspit of laziness and unfairness....all I am doing is sticking two fingers up at nurses, doctors and other hard working employed professionals...

Madoff's boat is up for sale. Make an offer.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

What's the deal regarding TVR's since that Russian tw@t let them go bankrupt? Spares and servicing? Residual values?

Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson
