Tonight I will go to my nice Asian place in Bonn (which is only tram ride form Köln*) where I'll have a plate of noodles, vegetables and meat along with a drink for only €6 and it actually tastes pretty good. Tomorrow evening Frau darmstadt is coming up so we'll eat slightly more expensive and then get rat-arsed (probably.)

The only place in Cologne I'm familiar with (not having been there) is that gigantic strip joint/knock shop. I'm not sure how appropriate that will be. Although I do understand once you pay your entry the drinks are free...Comment

Why not take her to the chocolate museum in Cologne

I was there on Sunday and it was great - they've set up part of a real chocolate factory, and it's really interesting to see the stuff being made.
They have a cafe selling the stuff.
But if you want proper stuff then just walk along the waterfront (the rive Rhine) north, and there are loads of restaurants on the left. I ate at a steak place which was OK - the meat came on a small sword which was cool.Last edited by KentPhilip; 12 August 2009, 16:46.Comment

Good one. It even fits with a conservative outlook on life.
And maybe I can suggest it as a slogan to the marketing people at clientco.
