No police on the street, no powers to convict the little rascals either.

I agree but most posters on here want a totalitarian state run by Maggie - so it would stop when they got that I guess

If you read the article correctly it says that her car was damaged while she was canvassing i.e she wasn't in it at the time, she was knocking on doors telling lies to get support. She came back to it, found it had a smashed windscreen and 4 slashed tyres, believed it was just some bored kids and nothing related to her being a thieving MP from a party that most of the country would gladly see the back of and decided to drive away in said damaged car. Then, the police arrived and took a report of the incident.

If I was the police I'd have arrested her for dangerous driving or some other charge that no doubt I'd be done for if I tried driving round Manchester with 4 slashed tyres and a broken windscreen.

No sympthay whatsoever, she wasnt harmed herself, it was simply a message stating that NeuLieBour are tulip and it's a disgrace what she claimed for as part of the expenses scandal.

Personally, I think she was lucky her car wasn't torched while she was out canvassing..

I think you're reading too much into the actions of some of the people of Salford.

The place is a sh!thole and it's the people who live there that have made it so! Some of the people by direct action, others by indirect!

It's f**k all to do with how they feel about politics, half the f**kers can't spell the word.

I've read people's reactions and thought hard about this for a few hours now.

I am a firm believer in right and wrong. I believe people should behave like good citizens. I hate to see mindless vandalism.

As someone born in Salford, who grew up in London, saw inner-city violence and has worked all round the country I have to say I do not think it was mindless violence. Mindless vandals would torch the car. Inner city behaviour is normally to steal the radio & the wheels. This was a message just for her. And I can understand why.

I think it serves the thieving, lying, selfish bitch right. I hope she doesn't sleep tonight. Other people live with that kind of threat all day, every day and can see no way of escaping it. Who might such people be? Her own constituents in that miserable tuliphole that is Salford.

It might make her slightly more humble, although I sincerely doubt it.

It's easy to say "I don't condone violence" but when the thieves in charge get caught out publicly yet then expect to just be forgiven, it is clear they are not listening. Violence is the inevitable outcome.

If she had resigned, like she should have done, she would have had a lot more respect.

I agree 100% - it happens and all the police do is hand out a crime number because there was nobody around or a camera pointing where the offence took place. It's suprising then that they are investigating - nothing to do with her being a MP I guess.

In my case when my car was damaged, the police managed to lose the details of the call when a witness gave the registration down the phone on a 999 call (i thought they were recorded), nobody turned up and they asked me to collect the witness statement.

I feel sorry for the car. In many, many ways.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? - Epicurus

                      Quite.

I wonder if it had a stack of telephone directories piled up on the driver's seat so that the wee menace could see over the dashboard.

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.
