So data (plural) is correct in this case as the ID card database will contain > 50 items of personal data -

It was being alluded to in the title of the thread, but incorrectly. I did the"All your base are belong to us" (often shortened to "All Your Base", "AYBABTU", or simply "AYB") is a broken English phrase that was central to an Internet phenomenon, or meme
thing on it to highlight my acknowledgement of the OP's allusion as nobody else had done so. The pluralisation error is inherent in the quote.
Somehow, it doesn't seem so funny any more.
