                Ah, C++. My first love as a programmer. Using it on a project right now, didn't think there was much demand for it outside the games sector though.

                      Plan b involved a kernel mode driver (written in C)
                      The front end is written in C, using the GTK+ framework.

                      Choice was, at the time I did not want to have to fork out for expensive IDEs, and opted for open source GNU C.

                      Runs like hot snot, compiles down to BA and it is not dependant on any girlie JIT compilers and frameworks.
