Dunno, probably driving it too fast The dealer wouldn't tell me what was wrong with it either except it made a knocking/ticking noise which got louder the faster you went. Good Q car though

In the 1980s I knew a guy with an M-series who got through several camshaft belts/(chains?), the first one at about 10,000 miles. The factory wouldn't admit a manufacturing or design fault but did pay substantial chunks as goodwill warranty.
