Me and the missus plan to land in California then drive up to Anchorage in Alaska, in a 4 week road-trip. she wants to see the beaches, I want to see the bears

If you time it right and head towards Barrow you'd probably see some polar bears too.Comment

Havent we done this twice recently?
2 weeks in August am actually visiting home. 4 days Blackpool for punk fest. The rest will be divided between DIY on the house, getting reaquainted with my KTM and playing on the beach with my 10m Ozone and buggy.
2 weeks at xmas in the Dominican republic. 1 week learning to kite surf. 1 week on the beach or playing the tourist. 2 weeks drinking rum.
Looking at 1 week in Salbaach end of Jan to meet a mate for skiing.I am not qualified to give the above advice!

heh hehOriginally posted by zeitghostI'm sure the bears will be delighted to see you too...
Hopefully not too close up & personal...
I did come face to face with a grizzly about eight years ago, in Canada.
Not too keen on a Polar bear though
