His "anyone but England" comment did it for me.

My problem (and I'm a Highland Scot) is that far too many of my countrymen watched Braveheart and were convinced it was a ******* documentary!

Well the empathy felt in having an alcoholic racist playing the lead, probably helped

I just don't like the guy....nothing to do with him being Scottish. I just find him to be a petulant little git with a personality bypass - Federer has more class and ability in his little finger, and I fully expect (and hope) that he will win again. It's just a shame Nadal isn't there to repeat last year's amazing final.

I found it very interesting that Murray had to raise his arms on a couple of occasions in the second set yesterday to get the crowd involved and more vocal. Funny but I don't remember Federer, or Roddick, or Hewitt, or even Djokovic having to do that. I wonder why?
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? - Epicurus

More Frankie Boyleisms, courtesy of the Daily Ranger:

They found oil under Mohammed Al Fayed's house. He took the oil company to court, and got £1000 in compensation. How did they ever think they would be able to keep it from him? He's obsessed with things happening in tunnels.

Sir Fred Goodwin has lost half his pension. Not surprising. He was in charge of it. RBS announced Sir Fred still gets £342,000 a year. Which should just about cover his window repair bills. Sir Fred has agreed to reduce his pension by £200,000 a year. What concession is he going to make next to all the misery his incompetence and greed has caused? Swap his yacht for a couple of speedboats?

The Government is taxing phone bills to provide broadband for the Highlands and Islands. Now they can order wicker men online.

(On the Iranian protests): I was shocked. They actually get to elect their leader. Gordon Brown just had to buy Tony Blair a leaving card. Thousand of people were on the streets to cheer the loser of their elections. If they like that, they would love Scottish football.

Frankie is brilliant, fair play in him having the courage in his convictions by telling them to ram it after they refused to publish his Michael Jackson column

its a fact if they are putting in much more than everyone else they deserve to. it still falls way short of what scotland contributes
