There are very clearly 86 bytes displayed..... So I would say "fail"....

But you may of course be right... I wouldn't want to argue or anything!

Well I find it fairly offensive but aside from that.....
It is <insert word of choice> like you that give IT a bad name......

You said (and I have already conceded that you might be technically correct based on your later qualifications) that 85 was the limit.....

Quite clearly your Title displays 86 bytes......

If I were a user who asked you to send me a string of 85 bytes I would feel somewhat aggrieved because what you have sent me is 86 long - It wouldn't fit.......

Just because you "know" what you meant (or conversely are able to bulltulip your user that "they" are wrong) doesn't actually make you right.....

All it does is make it clear that you need "someone" between you and real people to interpret your "I am a Techno-God" moonshine into something useful.....

So at the end of the day we are both happy - cos you can go into a dark room with your little beanie hat muttering about 1/2 words, 7byte ASCII etc

and I can interact with real people who don't try to cover up a simple misunderstanding with bollox.....*

OK That last bit is going too far cos "they" probably only really "need" 80 bytes but added a few for "luck"......

You Sir can obviously deal with real people!

Is that supposed to mean something?

Its not my fault that you are a Numpty. Your correct response would be:
"Sorry when I said 85 - I had neglected to actually check how long the string appeared on the screen and since then I have been frantically bulltuliping because I am quite clearly not "man" enough to admit that I made a mistake"

Oh and you can stick that up your botty and wiggle it....... You "techie"
