A.K.A - Tat."We keep focussed on popular consumables. Our biggest sellers are all items with a value of less than £15 - accessories for iPod's and mobile phones, gadgets, and electronic toys - low value goods with a high volume and decent profit margin.
There is a plan B for someone - open a shop selling tat.
Has anyone here done that?
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

The guy that lived opposite me sold mobile phone covers and did an phone unlocking service. Kept the stock in his garage.
He had a brand new 911 Turbo with the proceeds.
Where there's tat (and morons), there's brass.Comment

Well done that guy, ok he sells some stuff that's a bit low value, but he's obviously successful, more power to his elbow I say.
I've just bought a couple of retractable USB charge leads off eBay for the total grand sum of £5.00 on Buy it Now, call them tat if you like, but I need them and the guy probably makes a decent profit.
I'm sure many sales organisations that employ thousands of people have started in this way, there's no shame in building a business that obviously fills a need. I'd bet that this bloke has a more successful business selling "tat" than 99.9% of us have.Comment

I don't know. He sold them in the town centre off a stall. He might have sold them online too.Originally posted by Clippy View PostAgreed.

Either way, he was a very happy chap and it obviously works out profitable.Comment
