How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

I remember the days when LCY was being built and the locals were livid about the possible noise levels from aircraft
If I recall correctly the sop sold to them was that it would only ever be the "whispering jet" BAe146 flown out of the airport...How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think -

Correction - it was granted PP on the basis of turbo-prop use only... then a few years later amended so the "whispering jet" 146 was allowed to use itHow fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't thinkComment
