I have worked with plod a few times and they really are a different breed.
One time they tried to change the dress code on a Friday and all the civilians in the office revolted. The police management were shocked that they had given an 'order' and all these IT geeks just ignored it. They have a climate where you just do not ignore an order no matter how stupid it is and really asking people to come in on dress down day wearing a buttoned up collar without tie was bloody stupid.Comment
