It was way too humid for me, sweat dripping inside shirt all round. YMMV.

But it is true, South America has loads of relatively comfortable places to live, largely unspoilt by people like us. I rather liked Chile myself, though Brazil is undoutedly fun, and you sure eat well there.

UK is more than GB as you correctly state. However, some Yank's interpretation on wikipedia (most think Wales is in England) is not where I would start.
