Here's my question to the board, what colour trousers shall I wear to work tomorrow?

      Older and ...well, just older!!

Paid a professional to do it. He also took care of the liaising with the print shop as otherwise those guys will try and baffle you with science.

He produced a series of logo suggestions for me, I chose one after a bit of feedback, he laid it out in different formats and sizes, took care of card layout and printing, stationery and all the rest.

He is a mate which helps, but I insisted on paying him the going rate as he was starting up as an independent himself at the time. If anyone wants to contract his services, let me know.

Thanks, LB. Answered my question perfectly. I would be interested in contacting your friend at some point in the near future.

Not so worried about the interaction with the printers as my father was in the business for many years.

Just drop me a mail with your requirements when you're ready and I'll forward it on to him.

You've seen some of his work already on that document I sent you.

Yes, and it certainly looked very professional.

Btw, never mentioned it before but I do like your website. Good stuff!

I'll ask him EO. He charges by the hour so I'll ask him his estimate for one logo, CV sized, to include selection from a few options.

I seem to recall he charged me ca £350 for 2 x logos from a selection plus layout work for business cards plus print shop liaison but that was a couple of years ago.

Thanks, Slave, I liked his work too. The webtulipe (other than the logo) I did myself, but he does web layout work too.

Maybe I am misunderstanding but the best size for any image is a large as possible. Then resizing downwards gives the least reduction in quality.
