Really? I'm not sure that's true, although it does of course depend how you measure it.

              How low can you go

So they will replace hundreds of years of legislation, into something that will be geared even more to partisan politics?

Why? This is not the problem. Its that some MPS (And not only labour) are corrupt thieving barstewards who are sh1t at their job.

So, reform the expenses system and fire the sh1t, corrupt MP's and concentrate on other stuff.

I think though that the time is past for him, GB cannot do a thing now without people saying he is scr3wing something up. He has no poltical or public support and if he has to wheel out the epically sh1te Peter Hain for his cabinet, he must be pretty desparate. IIRC PH was forced to resign because of oversight in administration(Code for thieving corrupt bstd).

I think GB's tactics are as simple as waiting for the cyclic economic upturn so he can claim it was owing to his stewardship of the economy, and use the politcal capital to increase his popularity. In the meantime they will stoke up and tinker with random sh1te and pray it happens before GE next year

13% interest rates. Inflation 10%. 12.5% drop in values in three years. 75,000 repossessions in 1991 (30,000 last year). Mortgage as % of net salary : 40%, (Dunno now to be fair).

It was bad then, it's not as bad now (Might get as bad, but so far - no).

The economy is in fine, fighting shape.

The housing market is buoyant and 1st time buyers have no problems getting a loan.

We have a wonderful, cohesive systems of laws implemented in the EU that really do understand the microeconomic factors of the UK.

Crime is at an all time low.

The public services are awash with money and there's no need to cut anything back.

The UK Transport infrastructure is also "world class".

There are more jobs than people (and no imported labour)

The Army has the best kit in the world.

                    Tax is fair.

Gordon Brown has saved the Universe.

And you are Gordon Brown in disguise. Because he is fekking delusional as well.

Most of that could have been directed at the last Government at some stage or another, and I can't see how they wouldn't have made similar choices (probably not quite as bad). No government has that much control over the big issues. Some things improve but most of the issues above will remain. I'd vote Tory for personal benefit, the large issues won't be significantly addressed
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”
