                    Showing your own ignorance there Alf. Hawkin has not always been in a wheel chair. He was mobile in his youth and has developed a debilitating disease so an old photo could show him without. Who is the dumb ass now?

                      Quite right, Gunman. Stephen Hawking (not Steven Hawkin) only started to display symptoms during his university days. The wheelchair came later, and the loss of his voice (completely removed during an emergency operations in the 80) even later.
