      Have you had rickets?

        Nope, I'm 6ft 8" with a 36" inside leg.

Cutting through London traffic it's absolutely tremendous, but getting it out on to a road somewhere in mid-Wales with the bumps and corners - brilliant.

I like to think that, given that I'm 40 next year, it was my early mid-life-crisis present to myself

Congrats. Just remember that you're not a mobile organ donor!

I would recommend the KTM 990 SM(R) for you then old chap. What a hoot.
I am not qualified to give the above advice!

                I assume they bend?

Yep! I suspect the reason for leathers is that, if/when I come off at 120mph all of my organs are kept in a filled bag so all the transplant team need to do for an organ snatch is to unzip me

I came off a bike last time when I was 22 and broke both my legs

On that subject, I hope that we're all donor card holders?

Yes they do bend, I can still (at 42) bite my toenails. However, consider the seat height and placement of the foot pegs and work out where my knees would be. Not conducive to a comfortable riding position.

I do fancy a Triumph Tiger though...
