Curious. Given that the report specifically points out that Arcandor's troubles are not expected to affect Thomas Cook....how do you equate that with "Thomas Cook to go under"?Originally posted by MrMark View PostIs God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? It looks like Thomas Cook's actually quite a healthy company owned by a f**ked up hedge fund. Same has happened in Holland with Golden Tulip hotels; a good business that's now suffering because the owners used it as a vehicle for getting silly loans they can't repay.Originally posted by PM-Junkie View PostCurious. You really think people will continue to book holidays with Thomas Cook under this cloud? Unfortunately psychology takes over (even with the insurance, no-one wants their holiday cancelled)... let's hope they survive this, but I fear for their short term future.Originally posted by PM-Junkie View PostCurious.
