Are you the new middle manager who is jealous because I earn way more money than him? Possibly. Oh, and nobody really notice you and senior manager closed in your office for a few hours, although the pictures will be available on the portal soon.I've seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal and cruel and dark, Rome is the light. -
Oh I seriously doubt it.Originally posted by FranckoAre you the new middle manager who is jealous because I earn way more money than him?
Unless you're extremely specialised and/or business critical, which your postings make clear you're not.Hard Brexit now!

I am extremely specialised and business critical. Your understanding clearly shows that you are a typical middle manager and cannot go any further than that because of lack of vision.Originally posted by sasguruOh I seriously doubt it.

German unemployment may well be double that of the Britain, but in August Germany posted a trade surplus of 12.6bn euros (£8.5bn; $15.2bn), while Britain had a trade deficit of around 8bn euros.
Telling Germany that it isn't facing up to the challenge of world competition might therefore provoke what, in diplomatic circles, is known as a 'lively debate'.Comment

That may be true Alf, but Germany is going nowhere but down. Companies will not be able to manufacture there competitively for much longer and without any doubt unless they dismantle their social model they (and the rest of Europe) will eventually lose out to the Far East.
Britain at least has its financial centre which can easily reap the rewards of globalisation but otherwise it is going in the same direction as Germany. Of course the UK does have the advantage that London is such a hive of economic activity and I am sure that the people of London with their cultural diversity, their powerful and flexible serivce economy will be able to move to markets where there is demand.

Never a truer word spoken DA.
Indeed Labour will soon squander the hard won gains by Thatchers Labour Market reforms.
Furthermore much of the vaunted increase in UK employment are not market created jobs but state created jobs, in my book that is one step away from communism.Last edited by AlfredJPruffock; 26 October 2005, 16:52.Comment
