    My MP is Dim Prawn.
I could ask her if she will be signing the early day motion but something tells me that she won't. Still worth a try, best not to use my company email account though in case it starts an investigation.

Glenda Jackson. Oh my god, I just had a vision of Nicholas Soames rolling around on the floor of a train carriage in the nude showing his pubes. Aaaaagh.

          Letter sent to Jeremy Corbyn.

Couldn't resist mentioning BN66 and MPs expenses

EDMs achieve nothing. I have had my MP sign an EDM then vote the other way as following the whip.

I notice a few Labour MPs have signed!
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

I don't trust the Lib Dems. There may well be a big catch with this, and if so I suspect it's some simple new rule on applying NICs and PAYE to dividends that will render IR35 obsolete anyway and be much harder or impossible for IT contractors and other self employed to avoid.

They're desperate for more tax revenue, and the same will be true for whoever wins the next election

You may be right, but the worst thing about IR35 is the uncertainty. If they'd just put NI on dividends, or raised small business CT so that there was no advantage, then we'd all be worse off for it but at least it'd be upfront and honest and it wouldn't feel like we were being singled out over other small businesses.

It may not acheive anything in itself, but it does raise the profile of the issue considerably.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

NI on dividends won't happen anytime soon because it would upset politicians' paymasters.

Longer term though, you may have a point.
