FFS, I've got a follower! Hi Rob
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Don't believe in self-promotion. I'll leave that to the egotists.

Far better to work away in the background, and if you get noticed, then be modest, self-depreciating and humble.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Yes, I'm not sure if computers and the internet have really increased productivity at all.
