hi bb. have you got a band together yet? gigging? me not, but i'd love to get back into it again. that's plan c
We have a trio. Three acoustic guitars and three vocals. So we do 50's 60's Everly Bros, Beatles Simon and Garfunkel etc. "She loves you yeah yeah yeah".

Played in an Apple Orchard on Sunday afternoon. Acoustic guitars just fit there, no amplifiers needed.

We're going to add drums and a double bass, use an electric guitar for an upcoming gig and see how it is

The Rickenbacker's fine . Suits the sort of stuff I do really, especially on the Johnny Cash, hits the right kind of tone, and of course for the Beatles and Byrds what else would you use.

For Line Out/Headphones is this good for recording? I'm always constrained at home as I mic into my recording equipment, and I've heard mixed views on doing this, i.e. the output isn't as good. But I can imagine that you can get higher volume and then a reasonable sound.

Thinkg about getting this VOX VT 30 at the weekend.

Part of the amp's sound comes from the speakers so you're missing out on that through the Line Out/Headphone socket. Some amps have speaker emulation built in to the output though. Depending on your recording setup you could always add the speaker emulation yourself in software.

If you are more classic/agalogue in your taste then you should check the old faithful - Vox AC30
