Your friends son should do well as long as he keeps the animals happy. - Milk snakes are not worth alot but are a great animal to work with. The corn snakes are worth a little more but are harder to move on.

He would be better off buying 3 female royal python babies. (£20 - £80 each) then after a year / 18 months look at buying a morph male. (Dom/Co Dom genes) - The females will be ready for breeding and the young will be easier to sell.
That's very interesting - thanks. He's thinking about Children's Pythons as another avenue. I may mention Royals but his folks might well kill me for encouraging him

not only have you got 60 snakes

        you got 200 rats

        flip me

where do you keep this lot,

the room under the stairs ?

what do your neighbours say ?

        Milan.
Snakes have their own temperature controlled room.

Rats live in a large shed. Mice live in the same shed. Gerbils live in the house.

All neighbours that I've spoken to are fine, Some come round just to see how the snakes are doing.

The spend of 70k was over 18 months

I think the life and times of EO would be a best seller.

His parents need to consider his age & attitude.

I'd kill for my kids to have a business attitude towards anything. Childrens pythons are called that because of the are none agressive.

Corns & Milks can be nippy as young but come around as they get older. Royals are very much passive from hatching.

                Thanks again

FYI according to Wikipedia, "Gray named it in honour of his mentor, John George Children, who was a curator of the zoological collection at the British Museum around that time"

                    Nice hobby

Maybe snakes are the next big investment thing A replacement for the void left by the BTL bust. Each snake can be viewed as a miniture money printing press, the currency being snake eggs. Could turn out like the tulip bulb boom in Holland, or more recently the Ostrich investment scams in Asia and Aus.

So, if you can market snakes as an investment opportunity, rather than just a retail sale, you can get seriously rich.

                      Turion,

                      what you said...

on the flip side, someone did just that,

and convinced Mrs WC2 to put in 70k who in turn threatened a nooky ban unless WC2 coughed up the spondoolies

                      funny old world

                      Milan.
