Oh and one other thing with reference to the £1500 sale...

The chap has mailed Mrs wc2 and told her he may want more snakes - He just got a 3 month extension.

    Yup, He's an IT contractor.

      mate,

      when I crunch the numbers,

you invested 70k gbp in something

and within the next few months you might have a sale for 1500quid

and we are in the worst recession for a long time

barman, make mine a pint of what he's drinking please

I think the plan b to go for is being the man who sells the 'stuff' to the likes of WC2's Mrs for 70k gbp

      Milan.

        We'll see.

You can't really advertise these snakes for sale until they have hatched and eaten a few times.

If it all fails (Not expecting to make any real money for a few years) mrs wc2's fault

The reptile market is huge in the UK.

You know the bloke nextdoor has a dog, You see him walking it.

How many bloke nextdoor walk their snakes?

          wc2,

I wish you and everyone else all the best with their plan b's.

keep fingers crossed you are right, otherwise Mrs WC2 is gonna
have to find some way to pay you back :-)

Benes plan b's second loaf of bread is doing well.

Can you explain what you mean by this (seriously) ?

A friend's son wants to start breeding snakes in his bedroom, but just beginners' stuff like corns and milks. Are you saying that this will be a complete dead end waste of time?

              Whoa there a minute.

I know nothing about breeding snakes but what is interesting about this (to me) is the startup cost.

              I dont have a plan B yet, but now I have a savings-for-plan-B-target which is 70k.

              thats a start

The term "bedroom breeder" is used to describe a hobbyist who either just loves snakes or who is looking to try to make money.

Mrs wc2 has a snake room which is racked from floor to ceiling.

Your friends son should do well as long as he keeps the animals happy. - Milk snakes are not worth alot but are a great animal to work with. The corn snakes are worth a little more but are harder to move on.

He would be better off buying 3 female royal python babies. (£20 - £80 each) then after a year / 18 months look at buying a morph male. (Dom/Co Dom genes) - The females will be ready for breeding and the young will be easier to sell.

EO - This is not what I would call easy money.

We have 60ish Snakes - These snakes have to be fed. so...

We have over 200 rats which need to be cleaned once a week. (I hate that job)

Mrs wc2 is anal (I wish) about keeping the animals clean and happy.

It's not a full time job but very close.
