I've been doing some research on billing systems and found a reference to another plan B for someone.

I swear by Sainsbury's colour coded socks. You can get a pack of ten pairs now, each pair with its own colour on the heel.

I just buy 30 pairs of the same black socks and chuck them out as they break, when I get down to about 7 pairs I just lob them all and buy another bunch.

I did that once, but I must have worn them more evenly because they all suddenly got worn out at the same time.
