Well thanks thats given me a measure of "large" (even though I asked about small)......
However (still with pedantic hat on)........
Where in "your" definition of epidemic... or pandemic... is "death" involved.....
(paraphrasing)
epidemic - widespread (albeit localised) "occurance" of something (often a "catching" something)......
pandemic - widespread (multi-region/country/continent) "occurance" of something.......
You could have an epidemic or pandemic of something trivial (eg athletes foot).......... its to do with the number of people catching "it" not the number of people dying from "it"!!
Erm, this morning on Dutch news they said this Pig Flu could be treated very effectively with existing medicines like Tamiflu and the manufacturers are now ramping up production to meet demand. How scary is a treatable disease?
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

Not scary at all...unless governments et al ramp up the scariness levels as per the terrorism "threat".
Notice how people are not talking about the slump so much now? And only a couple of weeks after the G20 farce?
Coincidence?
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? - Epicurus
