UK address for mail and credit cards if you are moving abroad

    I never had any problem giving a foreign address, even in previous years when they would not let you open an account without a UK address: if you already had the account you were always OK. Now, banks are supposed to open an account for any EU citizen, but often they still won't without a UK address, so keep the accounts that you already have.

    BTW DVLA does (or at least did) require "an address in the UK where you can always be contacted".

      WHS - Also with mailboxes etc, you can have any number of aliases, so company and personal mail can all go to the same address. They also accept parcel delivery and hold them for you. The only caveat is that Royal Mail will not redirect from a Mailboxes etc mailbox address when you move (not a lot of people know that) so you have to make sure that once you leave Mailboxes all your addresses have been correctly changed.
