You must have a related degree, and be competent and up to date in PHP development, using PHP4/5, to current Web standards.

If you have a portfolio of work you have completed that will go to your advantage.

This role will be a rolling contract initially for 9-12 months.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced developers, and some training will be provided.

They are willing to pay between £7-£9 per hour

A prestigious organisation in Dorset is looking to appoint an Audio Visual Technician to join their team for a 12 month period.

Your responsibilities will include installing and maintaining multimedia and audio-visual equipment, providing 1st line support, repairing hardware and software and maintaining records on equipment use.

To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in at IT service or helpdesk environment, excellent working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office and have good communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience in programming and video editing would be highly advantageous

Those rates for php entry/mid level are not that outrageous to be honest, seen those kind of offers for years (5 plus) which was main reason I stopped doing php work 5/6 years ago, does not even appear on my CV anymore due to amount of calls I got from agents offering stupid contracts like that.

Basically kids/graduates and Indian offshore co companies gutted the low/mid teirs of the php market and dragged the higher end down as well
