Not sure if this has been said in this thread already, but just in case:
If you are coming down for the bash and need somewhere to stay, I can vouch for The Richmond Gate Hotel, The Petersham Hotel and The Bingham. All within 5 min walk of the Pitcher & Piano. There's also the Richmond Hill Hotel (which is cheaper), but that's more of a corporate events hangout.
Make a weekend of it and explore your surroundings. Take a boat up to Hampton Court Palace on the Saturday, or explore Richmond Park and have lunch at the cafe in Pembroke Lodge. Go (sorry lads) shopping around the ultra-expensive boutiques in Richmond. Or, have a saunter around Kew Gardens and have afternoon tea in the olde worlde cafe opposite Victoria Gate.

At the hotels... loads of dedicated parking.Originally posted by Mustang View PostIs there much space to park?
In town? You'll have a bit of a mission, and good luck with the one-way system. This one is closest to the pub, but you'll be more likely to find a space in here and walking to the bridge, to be honest.
On-street parking is hit and miss at the best of times. Most of it is for permit holders anyway.Comment
